NanoSignals: Nanotechnology
for Precision Diagnostics
The simplicity of an ELISA, with the sensitivity of a molecular test.

Our History
Cutting-edge science transforming realities
Born in the laboratories of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), NanoSignals was consolidated through a solid track record of over 15 years of continuous scientific research and development in the field of diagnostic nanotechnology.
Our technology utilizes gold nanorods and the Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) phenomenon to detect analytes at femtomolar concentrations. The robustness of this method is backed by scientific articles published in high-impact international journals and a portfolio of national and international patents, both granted and pending.
Today, as a biotechnology spin-off (deep tech), we operate in translational research to structure and validate high-precision in vitro diagnostic products.
The NanoSignals Advantage
Ultrasensitive LSPR Detection
Our technology is based on the use of functionalized gold nanorods. Through localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), we identify target molecules at concentrations that traditional methods cannot reach.
Femtomolar Sensitivity
Ability to detect diseases and contaminants at very early stages with molecular-level precision, saving lives and resources.
Operational Simplicity
Drastic reduction in operational steps. Readings performed on standardized equipment (microplate readers), with no need for high CAPEX.
Highly Selective
Zero false positives. Our markers bind exclusively to target molecules (such as the Dengue, Zika, or Yellow Fever viruses).
Our Publications
Serologic LSPR-nanosensor against SARS-CoV-2 antibodies and related variants outperforms ELISA in sensibility
High SARS-CoV-2 tropism and activation of immune cells in the testes of non-vaccinated deceased COVID-19 patients.
Advanced computational techniques for plasmonic metasurfaces in the detection of neglected infectious diseases
Nanosensors based on LSPR are able to serologically differentiate dengue from Zina infections
